Today I got my hair colored by Roxann at Impressions in Denton… WOW! We had discussed an idea before I came in, and let me tell you, girl rocked it! I may go back in a few weeks to add a bit more all-over color, but I am totally lovin the look I have now. I did a mini-photoshoot earlier today to show it off on Facebook. I think I’m going to make Chris take some more pictures of me tomorrow… I’ve so never felt so pretty!

Today was Grayson’s birthday… nope, surprisingly, I didn’t cry. I did hug him extra tight. Told him a loved him a million extra times. I can not believe that four years ago I gave birth and became a mommy… it’s like it happened yesterday. I still remember getting my epidural and learning to breastfeed – All the important things. Grayson has his yearly checkup tomorrow afternoon and More@4 orientation/open house is on Thursday. I always used to say I wanted him to grow up, and do it quickly… but man, what I wouldn’t give to have him as a squishy little newborn again.
Grayson’s birthday party was yesterday and we had a water balloon battle that turned into a war because my mom brought waterguns and super soakers. Grayson got lots of supplies for school and several new outfits (Thanks everyone! Total Godsend for that)… He also got a few new games for his DS, which he is still loving and taking great care of. Here’s a few pictures from Grayson’s party.

Just to be all sentimental – here is Grayson at birth, and exactly 4 years later (yes, I took the pics at 3pm lol)

I know, I’ve been really pathetic this week. In my defense, I have been working five straight days in a row AND we have had my 3 stepsons for over a week straight now. I am not complaining, it’s just a schedule adjustment I wasn’t expecting. In addition, we’ve also had two shoots this week and Grayson’s birthday party is this week. Life has been insane, and I am tired!

It has been entirely too long since I have gotten a haircut. Like I seriously think it is around the 2 year mark. WAY TOO LONG! Anyways, my hair was way too long and it is so hot this summer, so I figured I would finally get a cut. Let me tell you, I pretty much went with the first haircut I liked and fell in love with it. I did go with bangs, which I haven’t had in forever. I’m not sure how I feel about them, but I can swoop them to the side and they look great. I’ve also been going a little heavy on the makeup end of things, but I like it. I feel better about myself already, which is something that I need. Especially after days like today, which I will save for next weeks confession
Anyways, here’s some pictures that MadRadDaddy took of me this afternoon. It was raining in most of these pictures, which I thought was really cool!

As you all know, because I won’t shut up about, Grayson is turning four years old next month. I have been noticing SO many changes with him lately it is unreal! In fact, one that I have been waiting on has happened this week and I know there is no turning back.
A little backstory – I work at Blockbuster, but I am not afraid to say that we are happy subscribers to Netflix, which we mostly use via our XBOX 360. At $8.99 a month, we can stream as many shows/movies (mostly older titles, but some as recent as a few weeks old). Grayson can watch all the Blue’s Clues or Go, Diego, Go that he wants – and a good part is, he can navigate the screen well enough to pick out his own shows.
Which brings me to recent developments that really surprised me. Netflix is full of movies and cartoons, some of which are completely inappropriate for a preschooler. Grayson seems to just know what he is and isn’t supposed to watch. He watches Backyardigans and some PBS Kids shows, sometimes he will watch Johnny Test or Teen Titans… what I have noticed (especially since getting him his DS), is that he will respond to TV shows. I remember when I was little there were no shows like Blue’s Clues. I had Fraggle Rock and the Snorks… of course, Sesame Street. It’s really cool how kids shows these days ASK questions (“Do you see a clue?”) and Grayson is actually answering now! Just another step closer to Preschool!

I have been (insert post title here) this week. I started feeling like poop on Sunday before going on a little hiking trip with a friend. That evening Chris and I went to the drive-in theatre and saw Eclipse. I was also off on Monday, and I did very little of anything. Wake up on Tuesday, feel like poop. Go to work, rough it out. Go home. Sleep 6pm til 7am. Work again, rough it out. Lather rinse repeat. Today I was off and I slept and drank Theraflu ALL. DAY. LONG. I do feel much better. Nonetheless, I don’t really want to make a huge post about how great I feel when I really don’t… I hope to be back in full swing by Monday, and I’m really sorry for not posting more the past few days!
